Bill Gates Hires Former House Oversight Counsel for Epstein Testimony Preparation

Bill Gates, the Microsoft co-founder, has retained Jake Greenberg, the former top investigative counsel for the House Oversight Committee.

Greenberg was hired to advise Gates on his upcoming testimony before Congress regarding his past interactions with the late financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The decision underscores the growing legal and political scrutiny surrounding Gates’s ties to Epstein, who died by suicide in 2019 while facing federal sex trafficking charges.

Gates met with Epstein on multiple occasions starting in 2011, years after Epstein’s initial conviction for soliciting a minor.

The meetings have drawn increasing attention from lawmakers, prompting further investigation into the extent of the relationship.

Greenberg previously served under Representative James Comer, leading oversight inquiries into President Joe Biden’s family business dealings before leaving the committee.

His appointment marks a strategic move by Gates to navigate the complex congressional hearings expected later this year.

Lawyers for Gates declined to comment on the specific scope of Greenberg’s advisory role.

The House Oversight Committee has not yet announced a date for Gates’s formal testimony.
