Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang used the company’s GTC event in Berlin to present a new plug-in data center design called the DSX Pod. The system is positioned as a way to speed up AI infrastructure deployment across Europe.
Huang framed the DSX Pod as a direct response to Europe’s slower buildout of AI computing capacity. The modular design aims to reduce the time and complexity involved in launching new data centers.
The plug-in approach lets operators add computing capacity in prefabricated units rather than constructing facilities from scratch. Nvidia says this can help address bottlenecks in power, space, and deployment timelines.
Europe has trailed the US and China in AI infrastructure investment, creating concerns about competitiveness. The DSX Pod targets that gap by making it easier for cloud providers and enterprises to scale up.
Huang also highlighted autonomous humanoid robotics as a major focus for Nvidia. The company sees these systems as a long-term growth area tied to advances in AI training and simulation.
The Berlin announcement reflects Nvidia’s broader push to expand its presence in the European market. The company is working with regional partners to drive adoption.
Details on pricing and availability for the DSX Pod were not fully disclosed. Nvidia said more information would come as deployments move forward.
