As airfares soar 21%, these are still the cheapest cities to fly into

Airfares have climbed 21% compared to last year, according to recent industry data. The jump comes as airlines respond to rising jet-fuel costs.

Several carriers have raised ticket prices in recent months. Others have cut less profitable routes or increased baggage fees to offset expenses.

Despite the overall trend, some destinations remain budget-friendly for travelers. Airports in certain cities continue to offer lower average fares.

Orlando, Florida, ranks as one of the cheapest cities to fly into. Its high volume of leisure travel keeps competition among airlines strong.

Las Vegas, Nevada, also appears on the list of affordable destinations. The city’s large tourist market helps maintain lower price points.

Denver, Colorado, offers relatively inexpensive flights as a major hub. Its central location attracts multiple carriers vying for passengers.

Travelers can still find deals by booking early or flying during off-peak times. Comparing airports within a region may also yield savings.
