China’s Middle East Strategy Reshapes Global Power, Gold Rises as Dollar Weakens, Strategist Warns

China’s ability to withstand the U.S.-Iranian conflict signals a shift in global power dynamics, according to one strategist. Gold is expected to emerge as the primary beneficiary, while the U.S. dollar may face long-term consequences.

The strategist argues that China’s strategic positioning in the Middle East grants it an advantage over its rivals. By maintaining steady trade relations with both Iran and other regional players, Beijing has strengthened its influence without direct military engagement.

Gold prices have already shown signs of upward momentum as uncertainty grows. Investors are increasingly viewing the metal as a safe haven, especially amid geopolitical tensions that undermine confidence in traditional currencies.

The U.S. dollar, by contrast, could lose its dominant role in global reserves. The strategist points to ongoing de-dollarization efforts by nations like China and Russia, which are diversifying away from the greenback.

This realignment is partly driven by the Middle East’s evolving alliances. China’s continued imports of Iranian oil have supported the region’s economy, challenging U.S.-led sanctions and reshaping trade flows.

A weaker dollar would have broad implications for international markets. Commodities priced in the currency, including oil and gold, could become more volatile as the balance of economic power shifts.

While the transition may take years, the strategist expects tangible effects on gold and currency markets soon. The war in the Middle East is not just military but economic, and China appears to be winning on both fronts.

Investors are advised to watch for further escalation in trade tensions and diplomatic realignments. These factors will likely accelerate the move toward gold as a reserve asset, away from the dollar.
