What We Know About the Shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner

A gunman carrying multiple weapons attempted to break into the annual event while President Trump was present. Police have taken a suspect into custody following the incident.

The shooting occurred on the evening of April 25 at the Washington Hilton hotel. The suspect was apprehended outside the venue before entering the dinner hall.
