“Rio Tinto Secures $1.2 Billion in Financing for Argentina’s Rincon Lithium Project”

Rio Tinto has secured nearly $1.2 billion in financing for its lithium project in Argentina. The mining giant announced that four international lenders provided the funding package to support the development of the $2.5 billion Rincon project in Salta Province. Once operational, the project is expected to produce around 60,000 tons annually of battery-grade lithium carbonate.
