Sandisk reported a revenue increase of nearly 400% for its latest quarter. The memory-chip maker credited strong demand for its flash storage products. Revenue reached $1.7 billion, up sharply from the prior year.
The company also announced plans for a stock split. Details on the split ratio and timing were not immediately disclosed. The move aims to make shares more accessible to a broader range of investors.
Sandisk’s stock has surged more than 2,600% since it separated from Western Digital 20 months ago. It now carries one of the highest share prices in the S&P 500. The rally reflects growing investor confidence in the company’s flash memory business.
The revenue jump marks a major turnaround for Sandisk. The company spun off from Western Digital in early 2024. Since then, it has focused on expanding its NAND flash and enterprise storage offerings.
Demand for flash memory has risen as data centers and consumer devices require more storage capacity. Sandisk has benefited from tighter supply conditions across the memory market. Those conditions have pushed prices higher throughout the industry.
A stock split would not change the company’s market value. It would lower the per-share price and increase the number of outstanding shares. Such moves are often used to attract retail investors and improve trading liquidity.
Sandisk has not yet set a date for the split or confirmed how shareholders will be affected. The company said more information would be shared in coming weeks. Investors will watch for further details on the plan.
