Lucky Nantucket Diner: 5th Lottery Winner in 2 Years Claims $2M Powerball Prize

A Nantucket diner recently sold a $2 million Powerball ticket. This marks the fifth million-dollar lottery prize linked to the establishment in two years. Mary Haley, a longtime Nantucket resident, claimed the winning ticket.

The winning numbers for the Powerball drawing were 7, 21, 55, 56, and 64. The Powerball number was 26, with a 4X Power Play multiplier.

The diner has become a notable location for lottery players on the island. It ranks among the top 10% of lottery retailers statewide in Massachusetts. Its streak of major wins began in March 2024.

Since March 2024, lottery sales at the diner have increased by 37%. This surge has expanded its share of the local market. Previous wins include a $1 million scratch ticket in March 2024, a $2 million prize in June, and another $1 million prize in August of the same year.
