Tech Giant Oracle Begins Significant Global Layoffs

Oracle has initiated significant job cuts globally. Thousands of employees may have lost their positions. The tech giant, one of the world’s largest, has not yet issued an official statement regarding the reductions.

The layoffs affect various departments across the company. Cloud infrastructure (OCI), advertising, and customer experience (CX) teams have reportedly seen impacts. These job losses span multiple regions worldwide.

The company recently acquired Cerner, a healthcare IT firm, for $28 billion. Some reports link current layoffs to integration efforts following this acquisition. Oracle aims to streamline operations and strengthen its core cloud business.

Oracle employs over 160,000 people globally. The company continues to focus on expanding its cloud services, competing with other major industry players. Its stock has experienced considerable growth in recent periods.
